Save Our Crazy Maps to Your Phone
And the maps are back. Only places we go and like make it! So it's another Monkey Jim Travel Website (with mudmaps). While stuck in Thailand during the big travel restrictions and TravelNortheastCambo.com on hold, seems it was time to start another website with all the places we could actually get to. I'll write most of the stuff but Mal and a few others might help too. Feel free to join in if you like. It's only places we actually go, and stuff we like, plus the usually assortment of mud maps and crazy fun (but pointless) stuff too.
BTW If you are a phone zombie and love all that social media crap, you can also follow along @misterjim on twitter, or just check out our new groovy YouTube channel @monkeyjim

TRAT CITY THAILAND
Another Monkey Jim Mud Map
Starting October 29, 2022 the steeet food market is back on Rhak Muang Road in Trat City, Thailand. Every Saturday starting in the late aftrnoon this is the best way to spend an evening in Trat. They have all kinds of street food, lots of music and dancing, and a flea market that sells everthing from clothing to cacti. Lau Leu Bar have icy cold beers, wine and cocktails at a reasonable price, and a great selection of bar snacks and Thai food that come piping hot from the upstairs kichen. The funky retro deco is worthy of a few instas, and if you're out late there's a good chance it will be the only place open. Definitely worth a visit.

CATCH A BUS TO CHINATOWN AND THE RIVERSIDE FROM HUAI KHWANG MARKET
Save your money and take a bus to Chinatown in Bangkok. Ratchawong, River City and the Flower Market.
The buses in Bangkok are dirt cheap and go right across town for 8 baht for the non aircon types. The AC bus shown on these routes charge 17-19 baht depending on the distance you travel. Bus 12 takes you to Pak Khlong Talat (The Flower Market) passing the Giant Swing on the way. 204 goes to Ratchawong Pier which is great for Yaowarat and the Central Chinatown Area, and 36 AC goes to River City Shopping Centre, which has the cross river boat to Iconsiam, and is close to Talat Noi, Street Art and the Turtle Car.
